Overview
The Sine-Saloum natural region is located in Senegal, north of the Gambian enclave and south of the Petite-Côte. The Sine-Saloum National Park extends around the delta formed by the confluence of the Sine and Saloum rivers, and inlets of salt water which extend into the interior. The main towns of Sine-Saloum are Palmarin, Djiffer, Dionevar, Foundiougne, Ndangane and Toubacouta. The Saloum Islands have several plant species made up of mangroves and red and white mangroves.
